Before you draw any drastic conclusions from Gabrielle’s aforementioned critique of Dancing with the Stars, let’s get to know a little more about the star, her dancing background, and the true intention behind her statement.

Gabrielle, whose father is an Oscar-nominated film editor, mother and an actress, got into the acting profession when she was as young as 15.

However, acting was not her first love, since she wished to be a dancer before being anything else.

She attended ballet school as a little girl, but had to discontinue, after she suffered an injury, which forced her to switch to acting instead. Gabrielle reveals that her parents were never in favor of acting as a profession for her, since they had seen Hollywood from too close, to know better.

However, the actress pursued her dreams, regardless of her parent’s expectations, and discontinued school to carry on with her booming career in the television industry.

Now, with shows like ‘The Tudors’ and ‘Burn Notice’ to boast of, one would imagine that her parents would be proud of her decision.

But she says that they still aren’t, and she is glad to be able to pay her bills on her own, and not having to ask them for money.

When asked whether she would consider participating in a show like ‘Dancing with the Stars’, to rekindle her dancing dream, Gabrielle is quick to answer in the negative. She reveals that she has never watched the show, but from what she has heard about it, it sounds tacky to her.

Well, while Gabrielle might be right from the perspective of someone who is really passionate about dancing, we think that it is unfair of her to have commented on a show that she hasn’t even watched!

Gabrielle explains by saying that she has a real problem with ballroom dancing, which she believes is “as cheesy as it gets”. However, she finishes off on a humble note, saying that she just might end up on a show like that, once her acting career is over!

Being tall, suddenly went from being a strength to being a weakness, as it cut down her chances of bagging lead roles, opposite actors, most of whom were shorter than her.

The one thing that remained constant all through was her firm belief in the power of hard work.

After she moved from NY to LA, she knew that it was not going to be easy to get noticed amongst the pool of aspiring actors. However, luck seemed to be on her side, as she landed the coveted role in ‘Battlestar’.

It was during the filming for the show that she got called for an audition for ‘Burn Notice’, which was to be the breakthrough role of her career.

I am sure that with one more new story arc in the pipeline, it’s not yet time for Michael Westen, the fire-brand spy, to pounce on his kill.

Burn Notice season 5 episode 18, the soon-to-be released installment, vouches for an action extravaganza of apocalyptic proportion.

But the biggest question is - How will Michael accomplish the mission?

With Anson all set to disrupt the game, Michael has an uphill task to compete. Even though Sam and Fiona will take care of Anson, they may not be able to stop him.

It would be a race against the time for the estranged spy, who is set to prove himself clean and leagues apart from the unscrupulous operatives at CIA. Watch the incidents to figure out if the spy makes it to his final destination or not.

Talking of the cliffhangers, I would say that even if Michael manages to reach his goal, something untoward will hit him. It’s for sure that he won’t succumb to the beatings of unfavorable situation. But what remains to be seen is the way he navigates through the alleys of deceit, where camouflaged explosives are set after every inch.

It can’t be denied that Sam and Fiona will be there to give their lives in danger to stop Anson. But the crux of the matter is - how long will they be able to withstand his assaults?

Wait for the remainder episodes of Burn Notice, as they are going to prove to be worth the wait, for all the devotees of the show.

The piece of good news that I have for you today, is surely going to bring a smile on your face!

An explosion rocked the preceding installment of Burn Notice as well as the audience that are now hungry for more. Though I’m sure that action crazy fans must be satisfied to the hilt with the way Anson took it out on Benny, sending his limbs flying away to hell, with a bomb inside that package. Benny should have known that there isn’t any way back from the underworld. Once you are into the den of criminals, do you really expect them to let you live and roam free? No, for they don’t want the cops, who had kept a watch over you all this time, take you behind bars and suck out information.

Benny should have known that guilt and voices of the conscience are not felt and heard by the players in the underworld. They are simply labeled as individual weaknesses that hamper business and endanger one’s existence in that hell.

Burn Notice season 5 episode 16 will see Michael impressed by Anson’s brilliance at strategies, and realize that Anson is the only man who can actually track down a spy, who’s determined to murder Beatriz.

Since that explosion that killed Benny, Anson has been in the spotlight for some reason or the other. Suddenly, he will be sending Fiona and Jesse away from the scene to visit Cayman Islands. I’m sure this is a part of another newly-hatched strategy! Burn Notice season 5 episode 17 will find the whole team trying to catch a diamond smuggler. Other than that, it will depict a needy Michael, pleading to Pearce to free a prisoner, who might be able to lend him an important lead to Anson.

You don’t mind these wipeouts and losses. Do you? I feel they are necessary at the moment.

It’s a day of mourning for gore and horror fans, as they came to know that Bruce Campbell will not be appearing in the Evil Dead remake.

No!

Evil Dead, is a classic horror film by Sam Raimi, which is said to be the scariest in the league.

Indeed it is, but it is incomplete without Ash.

Who will the evil forces torment now? Who will kick the grotesque monsters’ butts?

If you watch the show Burn Notice, in which Bruce plays the character of Sam Axe, who served with the U.S. Navy Seals, you will see that Bruce has portrayed the character so convincingly that it compels us all to get a Burn Notice download, just to the admire this fine actor and his work.

More than the movie, this move of removing Ash from the film, is scarier for the fans.

I just cannot accept a new Ash, if he is going to appear in the movie at all.

Bruce has that X-factor, which is very much required in an actor, to pull off the character of Ash in Evil Dead.

Now that Evil Dead will not have Ash, who will the main protagonist be?

Will the story take a new turn and not be inspired by its predecessors?

It is but obvious that fans are anxious about this development in the Evil Dead camp, and many asked Bruce on Twitter about the same. To this, he very politely answered that Ash will not be a part of the remake as of now.

We will have to wait and watch how cult fans will accept the film, which is scheduled to start shooting in 2012.

I am sure they won’t be pleased, because I know that I am not!

But then, Sam Raimi really admires Bruce. So you never know if Bruce just might appear in the film – maybe not as Ash, but perhaps, as someone else.

Just the idea of seeing yourself on television should be enough to keep you glued to the screen narcissistically, devouring every bit of yourself that the whole world is drooling over.

But when we are talking about someone who is nearly 70 years old, and has spent her entire life on TV, it is understandable that she wouldn’t be as much in awe of herself as we would imagine her to be.

The lady I’m talking about is, of course, none other than Sharon Gless, the veteran actress who has been adding immense class to ‘Burn Notice’, making her presence felt in nearly each of the Burn Notice episodes.

Sharon reveals that she has never seen herself on the show, but the reason isn’t that she is so used to seeing herself on the screen; it is because she has never been comfortable watching herself perform.

She becomes too critical of herself, and ends up having thoughts like ‘Oh, I’m too fat’, or ‘My acting is so bad in this scene’, which give her the jitters and shatter her self-confidence. Considering all the awards and rave reviews that she has garnered over the years, it is surprising that she should have any sort of insecurity about not being good enough.

Sharon shares one particular incident where her manager, Monique James, forced her to sit in an amphitheatre all alone, and to critically watch her work. She describes how Monique pointed out her flaws, such as scenes where she looked as if she wasn’t listening to the actor talking to her, but was simply waiting for her turn to deliver her lines.

Monique taught her how to keep quiet and listen while performing, which she reveals is one of the greatest lessons she has learnt in her career; according to her, it was something that went a long way in making her a better actress.

Well, whether she watches herself or not, she’s definitely going to have millions watching her ardently till the time she is around!
