Season-1

Burn Notice Season 1 pilot was first aired on 6-28-2007. The season starts when Michael Westen, a trained spy receives a “Burn Notice” for an unspecified reason from his higher authorities. He returns to Miami and freelances his services to earn money and to help people who can’t trust on police. Michael has two friends: Fiona Glenanne who is an ex-IRA operative and explosives/reconnaissance/surveillance expert, and Sam Axe, who is a former Navy SEAL skilled in surveillance. Madeline Westen, his mother who is unaware of her son’s profession and who couldn’t be happier to have her son back in the town.

First of all, Michael gets a small investigation job: Javier who is a caretaker of an estate is accused of stealing some valuable pieces of art. Michael quickly finds out that Pyne (Javier’s employer) directed the robbery and blamed Javier in order to get insurance.

Michael has set up a trap at Javier’s home and when Pyne and his guard come after Javier and his son, they’re caught up in the trap. Pyne has shot his guard and now Michael has evidence to send them jail.

Michael is also trying to get in touch with his old authorities, Dan Siebels. When he doesn’t accept his calls, Michael decides to get creative and resorts to mailing Siebels a fake bomb in order to get his attention. Siebels tells Michael not to leave Miami. Michael returns home to find his door open and the floor covered with surveillance photos. It’s not the FBI, but whoever it is; they’ve been tracking his every move. And they’ve left a message: “Welcome to Miami.” Season 1’s last episode was aired on 9-20-2007.

Michael must protect Sam and his family from heroin smugglers, who happen to be ex-Special Forces, before his own capture.
