It was the second part of the season finale episode. We saw that Sam had been held hostage by the heroin smugglers. It later came into light that they were the former Special Forces operatives. As the season came closer to its end, Michael discovered that he must use his connections with underworld to save his friend. His other mission was to evade the government agents who wanted to get to him and had assassinated Philip Cowan.
